The Ardonagh Group today announces an equity investment from funds managed by Stone Point Capital LLC, a leading alternative investment management firm focused on the global financial services and related industries. The investment values Ardonagh at $14 billion.   Group Chief Executive David Ross said: “Stone Point’s investment in the Group marks a new phase in our extraordinary journey over the past few years to become the $14 billion business we are today. Stone Point Credit is pleased to announce that it has partnered with Starwind Specialty Insurance, a subsidiary of TIH, to launch Fractal Re Ltd., a newly created collateralized reinsurer. Fractal Re will participate in a diversified portfolio of casualty and specialty risks underwritten by Starwind, with Stone Point Credit serving as the investment manager.   “We believe Stone Point Credit’s experience managing capital for the insurance industry, combined with Starwind’s market-leading underwriting, will enable us to generate substantial value for all stakeholders,” said Jim Carey, Co-CEO of Stone Point. This month, we welcomed our 2024 Associate and Analyst classes to Stone Point. Our new Analysts are returning to Stone Point after participating in our 2023 Summer Analyst program, and our new Associates are joining us from investment banking programs across the country. We are thrilled to have our newest team members on board. 

Last week, Stone Point concluded a successful 8-week summer analyst program. We hosted a talented group of 21 summer analysts across multiple teams throughout the organization.    Our summer analysts made meaningful contributions during their time at Stone Point and grew both personally and professionally working alongside our team.   Our summer analyst program is an exciting opportunity to gain hands-on experience, develop career-enhancing skills and build meaningful relationships. We look forward to staying in touch with our 2024 summer analysts and continuing to reflect on their accomplishments.
