It's here! The Afterschool STEM Research Review newsletter, brought to you by the Afterschool STEM Hub. https://lnkd.in/efNUDNxB This edition focuses on afterschool programs supporting youth-led community change. The two articles we review evaluate both the programs’ impact on youth and the youths’ impact on their communities. As afterschool programs around the country support more intentional youth leadership, there is a growing need for more research like this to demonstrate that having youth at the table is not just beneficial but essential for intergenerational approaches to complex societal challenges. #STEMEcosystems #Ecosystem

🚀✨ What a Stellar Day at the Anderson High School Project Lead The Way Showcase in Anderson Community Schools! ✨🚀 Today, we had the privilege of visiting classrooms filled with talented educators and bright, motivated students who are paving the way for the future of STEM. 🌟👩🔬👨🔧 Here are a few highlights from the day: 🛠️ In David Perrel’s #Aerospace #Engineering classroom, students brought innovation to life as they built propellers—a perfect showcase of creativity and problem-solving in action! 🧠 In Joshua Dillard’s Human Body Systems classroom, students worked hands-on to create detailed models of the human body, identifying and labeling each part with precision. It was incredible to see their curiosity and critical thinking at work! One of the most memorable moments was hearing from Joshua Dillard, who shared: "The best thing I ever had is the PLTW network. I am never alone." 💬🤝 This powerful quote perfectly captures the magic of PLTW—a community that empowers educators with world-class training, resources, and a network of peers, all working together to deliver transformative learning experiences for students. 🌐✨ 💡 The students were phenomenal—sharing their excitement for #STEM and their big dreams for the #future. Days like today remind us why investing in STEM education matters so much. Their passion and potential truly blew us away! 🎉 A huge thank-you to Anderson High School, their dedicated staff and students, and everyone who made today’s showcase a success. 🚀 #PLTW #STEMEducation #AndersonHighSchool #FutureLeaders #InnovationInAction #STEMRocks #BuildingTheFuture Zach Nicoson, Mikah L., Logan Craft, Louise Rogillio White, Amy Lore
