At 41, Eddie Sahakian was diagnosed with early onset Parkinson’s Disease, a condition that began to severely impact his life. Determined to regain control over his life, Eddie opted for deep brain stimulation at St. David’s North Austin Medical Center. This sophisticated procedure, designed to modulate the brain’s electrical activity and alleviate Parkinson’s symptoms, was performed by Dr. Dhruve Jeevan using cutting-edge technology, including a robotic arm to enhance accuracy. “My tremor stopped immediately. It was almost like I had my own body back,” he said.
