Today I had the pleasure of hearing from Bill Morelli and Evan Kirchheimer about the ambitious direction for Omdia as part of Informa TechTarget. Exciting stuff! The long-awaited details are taking shape. A few things that stood out: * As we know, Omdia, Canalys, ESG, Heavy Reading, and Wards Intelligence are all moving under the Informa TechTarget umbrella. Over the course of 2025 and into 2026, those five entities will align under the Omdia brand. The group will cover 42 industry segments within five topics -- Consumer, Enterprise, Channel, Telecoms, and Integrated Tech. Increased access to end-user insight will be a significant benefit for all parties moving forward. * "We accelerate your growth from R&D to ROI" and "Faster to market. Faster to revenue" are the rallying cries for Omdia's tech provider clients. There's also a sincere attitude related to interactions that goes something like, "We're here to help ... not to make things difficult." * They are keenly aware of their opportunity to level-up in the stratification of industry analyst and research firms, but they want to earn it fully. And they're also not trying to emulate Gartner, IDC, or Forrester. Huge thank-yous to Bill and Evan for their time and perspective! I'm excited to see what the future holds for Omdia and Informa TechTarget. And the competitive energy this will bring to the ecosystem of research firms. #analystrelations #archat #spotlightar
