  • 🚀 What Does the Next Presidency Mean for Space Policy? 🌌 As President-elect Trump prepares for a second term, the space industry is bracing for significant shifts in priorities. With SpaceX’s Elon Musk leading the new Department of Government Efficiency, here’s what to expect 👉 As these developments unfold, they raise important questions about the balance between private-sector leadership and public interest, the militarization of space, and the role of the U.S. in shaping humanity’s future beyond Earth. 💬 What do you think? Will these changes accelerate our journey to Mars, or will they come at too high a cost for NASA and other space programs? #SpacePolicy #spaceexploration #spacefrontier #newspace

  • As #Interstellar celebrates its 10th anniversary with a re-release in theaters this week, it’s the perfect time to revisit—or experience for the first time—a film that didn’t just push boundaries in storytelling, but changed the game in how we see space travel. Unlike most blockbuster sci-fi, *Interstellar* wasn’t content to just dazzle us with CGI and call it a day. Directed by Christopher Nolan and powered by Kip Thorne’s scientific expertise, the film broke ground on how we imagine the universe—and how we study it. Did you know the black hole depicted in the movie led to actual scientific discoveries and inspired peer-reviewed research? 🌌 This is why in 2015 the Space Frontier Foundation awarded the Vision of the Future Award to the creators of Interstellar at our annual #NewSpaceConference. The award honors bold ideas and innovative visions that make a compelling future of the space frontier feel not just possible but *necessary.* 🎥 Tell us: What’s your favorite scene from Interstellar? Share in the comments, and don’t forget to share this film with a friend who hasn’t seen it! #Interstellar10Years #SpaceFrontier #VisionOfTheFuture #NewSpace #SpaceEconomy #ChristopherNolan

  • 🚀✨ **Congratulations to NASA’s New Administrator, Jared Isaacman!** As a trailblazer in both entrepreneurship and commercial space exploration, Jared Isaacman’s appointment signals an exciting new chapter for NASA. From commanding groundbreaking missions like Inspiration4 and Polaris Dawn to championing the critical role of private sector innovation, Isaacman has demonstrated a bold vision for the future of space. At the Space Frontier Foundation, we’re optimistic about the changes ahead — an era of experimentation and growth for the space economy, one that embraces transformative technologies and new commercial opportunities. These shifts align closely with our mission to advance humanity’s presence in space while ensuring these advancements benefit life here on Earth. The next four years could redefine the partnership between NASA, private industry, and global space leadership. We’re ready to support this vision and continue pushing the frontier of what’s possible. #spacefrontier #newspace #spacehistory #spacenews #nasa

  • One of our advocates, David E. Steitz, has written a compelling op-ed highlighting the urgent need for U.S. leadership in space-based solar power (SBSP). This transformative technology could revolutionize our energy landscape, offering clean, 24/7 power while reducing reliance on foreign energy sources. However, as the U.S. debates incremental energy policies, China is rapidly advancing, positioning itself as a leader in this game-changing field. At the Space Frontier Foundation, we believe in preparing society for the opportunities space offers — for Earth’s sustainability and humanity’s future in the cosmos. Advancing SBSP aligns directly with our mission to integrate space's value into the broader economy and build a freer, more prosperous future for all. 📖 Read the op-ed 👉 https://lnkd.in/g9hUWkQV 💡 Join the conversation: How can we ensure America leads in this vital space frontier? 👇 #SpaceSolarPower #CleanEnergy #SustainableFuture #SpaceInnovation #LeadershipInSpace #SpaceFrontier #NEwSpace #SpaceTech
