Welcome Victor, our new VP of Operations! Sky Harvest Carbon is pleased to announce the hiring of Victor Duribe, PhD as Vice President of Operations, effective October 21st, 2024. In this role, Victor will be responsible for driving project development and operational excellence in our day-to-day operations to support the next phase of growth. Prior to Sky Harvest Carbon, Victor was a Principal at Boston Consulting Group (BCG), leading efforts in the Energy & Sustainability and Technology practices across clients and industries. Victor holds a PhD in Chemical Engineering, with research focus on optimization and control of energy systems. We are excited to have Victor onboard! About Sky Harvest: Sky Harvest Carbon is a leading project developer and issuer of US-based carbon dioxide removal (CDR) credits. Our high-quality carbon credits are based on a simple idea – we partner with disadvantaged landowners to defer timber harvest (thus leveraging the immense potential of mature trees to remove carbon). Sky Harvest issues credits through the Carbon 2.0 framework, an innovative approach that accurately measures the holistic impact of each credit. Visit https://lnkd.in/dGKJbEJT to learn more about us and our mission to help preserve our world through practical and effective carbon removal solutions.

Sky Harvest creates next-generation carbon credits and sells them to corporate customers to offset their emissions.
About us
Sky Harvest creates carbon credits and sells them to corporate customers to offset their emissions. We do so by paying landowners not to harvest timber that they otherwise would. We work exclusively with small-acreage and underserved timberland operators in the United States to generate carbon credits. We are a project developer—not a broker, nor a marketplace. We’re passionate about fixing carbon markets. We’re passionate about sensible, practical solutions to this climate issue. And we have a humble, hard-working culture intrinsically motivated by the excellence and impact of our work. More importantly, Sky Harvest has a fresh edge in this space. We voluntarily issue credits under the Carbon 2.0 framework, which requires fewer credits are issued but ensures that each issued credit properly and completely offsets the negative climate impact of emissions elsewhere. To our knowledge we are the only developer issuing credits with multiple tons of carbon in each credit. For additional information on the Carbon 2.0 framework, please check out the Perspectives on our website

Sky Harvest is pleased to announce that it has received a substantial award from the USDA Forest Service. Sky Harvest is one of the 20 recipients of the $116 million awarded for the Forest Landowner Support Program announced today. These funds will be used to support Sky Harvest’s mission “to preserve our home, serve our landowners, and seek sensible solutions.” Specifically, the funding will be used across several projects to support underserved and small-acreage landowner participation in the emerging voluntary carbon market. The projects include a commercial-scale demonstration project, a campaign to educate buyers and create awareness about the solutions of the Carbon 2.0 framework, and the development of back-end infrastructure to create greater accessibility and affordability for landowners. We are grateful for this opportunity to partner with the Forest Service in its mission to serve underserved and small-acreage landowners. Many thanks to our partners and supporters who have already and will continue to support this effort!
