  • 🌄 Today's plant spotlight comes from Sites landscape designer Jonathon Cunningham's hike in the Sandias: Fendlera rupicola, also known as Cliff Fenderbush or False Mockorange. 🌼 This native shrub is a high-desert gem, flowering in midsummer and filling the air with its incredible orange-vanilla scent. Perfect for xeriscapes, it thrives in the rocky, well-drained soils of canyon environments and is a low water-use wonder. Thank you, Jonathon, for sharing this gorgeous photo and your love for our unique high-desert flora! 🌵✨ #HighDesertPlants #NativeShrubs #FendleraRupicola #SandiaMountains
