Dear Friends and Supporters, As we step into the new year, we at Humanly are partnering with Renaissance Social Services to make sure that 60 of our most vulnerable neighbors are not left out in the cold. Winter can be especially harsh for those who don’t have a safe place to call home, and this year, we are determined to bring warmth and dignity to those who need it most. We are reaching out to you, compassionate Chicagoans, to help us collect the essential supplies needed to provide warmth and shelter during these cold months. Your donation will go directly to purchasing the items we need to support those experiencing homelessness. Here's what we’re aiming to provide: *Heaters to provide warmth in homes and temporary shelters *Boots and gloves to protect against the freezing temperatures *Parkas to shield from the cold winds *Tents and tarps for those living outdoors, offering a barrier against the elements *Propane to fuel heaters and cooking supplies *With your help, we can make sure that these 60 individuals start the new year with warmth and hope. Every day, thousands of people are left without a roof over their heads—not because they lack ambition, but because they lack access to affordable housing. Homelessness is not just about individual circumstances; it's about systemic issues: rising rents, stagnant wages, and limited resources for those in need. 👉 Why it matters: Over 580,000 people experience homelessness nightly in the U.S. Nearly 11 million households spend over 50% of their income on rent. For every 100 extremely low-income renters, there are only 36 affordable homes available. We can change this!
