Make sure that you are keeping track of what you are doing, not just running around making edits willy-nilly. Some of the things you might want to track: 1. Where you are currently ranking for keywords that you care about. 2. Where you are currently ranking for a local map search. 3. What edits you have made and when. 4. How many leads you have coming in. 5. How many visitors you have to your site, what pages they are checking out, and how long they are hanging out there. All of these things tracked over time will help you make smart decisions on where to spend your time making edits and improvements so that 6 months from now you don't get frustrated that nothing is happening.
