Fast forward to two hours before my flight, and the ticket agent politely (but firmly) informs me: You're not going anywhere. Cue the heroes of the hour: United Airlines agents Mark White and Andrea Hicks. These legends spent over an hour on the phone with New Zealand immigration, pulling off what felt like a miracle. Not only did they get me on the flight to Auckland, but they also kept me laughing through the chaos. Once onboard, the Captain added an unforgettable cherry on top: he announced I had officially hit 1 Million miles with United on this very flight! 🎉 The passengers erupted in cheers, blissfully unaware of the cosmic joke—someone who flies this much still forgetting a visa. Gratitude doesn’t even begin to cover it. Huge shoutout to the incredible United team for their patience, humor, and going above and beyond under pressure.
