With the dedicated care of the Slate Valley Center therapy team, she worked at her own pace, always staying positive and focused on her goal: going home. 🎓💪 Meet Christopher Besson, one of our incredible partners in shaping the next generation of OTs! For three years, he’s welcomed 3-6 students annually, sharing his passion for occupational therapy in SNF/LTC settings. When the pandemic left students scrambling for placements, Christopher stepped up. “I remember how much I learned during my fieldwork, and I couldn’t let these students miss out.” His dedication to teaching shines, especially during those end-of-placement chats where he hears about what surprised them, what they loved, and how much they’ve grown. 🧠✨ His advice to students? Ask questions. All of them. Fieldwork is your time to learn and explore!
