SIFF Cinema Downtown is now a year old! On this day last year, we opened a cathedral of cinema—an apt moniker from SIFF Executive Director Tom Mara—with a ribbon-cutting ceremony, followed by a screening of WONKA. Since then, SIFF Cinema Downtown has housed a LORD OF THE RINGS marathon, new releases, Festival programming, repertory films, and now the theater blows out its singular candle with a screening of WILLY WONKA & THE CHOCOLATE FACTORY. Happy birthday, SIFF Cinema Downtown! 🥳 Photography by Eric Luck.
