What Inspired You to Start Your Business? I spent years in Defense contracting, supporting and leading major national missions in systems engineering and program management. Directing programs valued over $100M, I loved solving complex problems at scale. But my path to entrepreneurship began much earlier. As a teen, I learned sales working with my cousin’s flower and gourmet basket business, making deals and managing margins on busy street corners. Even before that, my paper route taught me early lessons in customer convenience, charging a premium to save my customers a trip to the store. Years later, I built a successful lodging investment business and gained experience in commercial real estate. But I couldn’t shake the drive to start my own consulting firm. Now, with over 20 years in GovCon, I help small and mid-sized defense contractors overcome growth plateaus.
