From concert stages to checkout pages, the power of Taylor Swift’s reputation is undeniable. Today on her 35th birthday, we’re celebrating the Taylor Swift effect and the impact it had for small businesses and local economies this year. → Fans spent on average $1,300 each on travel, hotels, food, merch & costumes during The Eras Tour. → According to the New York Times, The Eras Tour grossed more than $2 billion, aka the highest grossing tour ever. → Swift's global economic impact from The Eras Tour is estimated to be up to $28 billion. And much of that trickled down to independent businesses. Case in point: One brand POPFLEX saw a +1,661% increase in sales for their skort after Taylor wore it this year—it’s even rumored to have inspired a lyric in her recent album. Another fashion brand Little Lies was flooded with pre-orders after Taylor was spotted in one of their dresses. Read about the brands who know “all too well” the power of Taylor Swift’s influence. https://lnkd.in/eakSdqps

The Winter ’25 Edition has arrived. And it’s boring. Every six months, we publish a rundown of everything we’ve built in Editions. Usually, this includes big, flashy product announcements. Not this time. This Edition isn’t about being flashy. It's about making sure everything on Shopify just works. Features that didn’t work together are integrated. Products in early access are rolling out to more merchants. Developers have more surfaces to build. It’s The Boring Edition: https://lnkd.in/gpryFNFJ

Entrepreneurs run Black Friday. We’re back at Sphere to show that to the world. Today, we are the first brand to partner with Sphere to deliver real-time data visualization on the Exosphere. This means you can watch entrepreneurs powering global commerce in real-time on the largest spherical structure in the world. How does it work? Powered by Shopify's live data source, the Live Globe renders instantaneously onto the Exosphere. Within seconds of an order being placed, an arc travels from the merchant to the buyer, lighting up fireworks to celebrate first-time sales. We're proud to be the first, and even prouder that this milestone is driven by real-time merchant sales happening on their busiest day. Tune in all weekend: shopify.com/blackfriday
