  • Many of team members attended the New Hampshire Association for Justice Personal Injury Fall Forum last month to engage their peers and hone their skills. Attorney Heather Menezes acted as Program Chair, and Attorneys Jared O'Connor and Fran Murphy presented on the workers' compensation cancer presumption for firefighters and AI in the law, respectively. Attorneys Danielle Pomeroy, Andrea Amodeo-Vickery, and Nicholas Kline were also present to soak it all in!

  • Depo-Provera, the "birth control shot", is a popular contraceptive used by many. However, a recent study found that people who used Depo-Provera could have a significantly increased risk of developing meningioma, a type of tumor that affects the spinal cord or brain. If you have used Depo-Provera and were diagnosed with meningioma, you may be able to file a lawsuit for compensation. Contact our team today to request a consultation. • As immigration legal work faces uncertainty in the coming years, Attorney Ronald Abramson is taking steps to make sure he's ready to help clients as much as possible. Recently, Ron gained admission to the U.S. District Court for the District of Vermont. This will allow him to pursue immigration processing delay and other mandamus litigation against the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services’ (USCIS) Vermont Service Center, one of six service centers in the United States. According to Ron, federal mandamus litigation is a last resort to get the government to do what it is legally charged to do more quickly and efficiently. • Congratulations to Attorneys Sean O’Connell and Kirsten Allen for their recent Supreme Court victory! This case began when Monadnock Rod and Gun Club reoriented its shooting range without town approval and trespassed on our client’s property. Subsequent events, including the Town of Peterborough amending its zoning ordinances and the Club’s application for a new site plan being denied, led to this appeal to the Supreme Court. Representing our clients as intervenors in the case, Sean and Kirsten helped secure a favorable result on all issues presented. Read more about the case here: https://lnkd.in/eZUqF4ww
