Nick Stein, Sentinel’s Managing Director, recently contributed to the Fourth Quarter 2024 issue of Institutional Real Estate, Inc.'s iREOC Connect. Providing insight into the topic of investing in sector-specific open-end funds, he spoke specifically about qualities to consider regarding real estate-oriented funds. “In recent years, industrial and housing have generally offered some of the most compelling returns. There are a lot of niche real estate sectors that may be providing compelling returns; however, investors need to be cautious of the potential limited liquidity and non-institutional nature of these assets. Broadbased themes and underlying fundamentals are still providing a compelling outlook for industrial and the living sector.” Read more and download the article: https://lnkd.in/gMwpAjCV

Sentinel is proud to share the recent completion of capital upgrades at ABQ Uptown Apartments, a 198-unit apartment community in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Possibly the crowning feature of the renovation is the custom, hand-painted mural that runs up the side of the clubhouse building, which overlooks the courtyard. Designed and created by two local artists, Nazario Sandoval and Mel CK, the three-story symbolic illustration celebrates the local landscape, flora and fauna, in all of its colorful glory. As George Tietjen III, Managing Director of Sentinel, commented, “we felt it important to incorporate as much of the southwestern and New Mexican theme in our renovation of the community’s common areas. The mural was a perfect addition to the outdoor courtyard area. We believe our current residents will enjoy sitting by the fireside, surrounded by the beauty of the southwestern desert, brought into ABQ Uptown by these talented local artists.” Read more: https://lnkd.in/gjv5zNU2
