SIIA’s Future Leaders connected online with several self-insurance industry leaders during yesterday’s Mentor Connection. During the event, attendees engaged directly with each mentor through small group sessions concluding with a virtual happy hour for a more casual networking opportunity. Events such as this are developed by SIIA’s Future Leaders Committee and play a vital role in the development of the next generation of leaders in the self-insurance marketplace. SIIA’s Government Relations Team recently analyzed the election results and its impact on healthcare policy in a post-election webinar.  The team discussed that House and Senate leadership in the new administration will use the "reconciliation process" to pass Republican policies over the next two years, including extending the 2017 tax cuts and enacting healthcare reforms that impact spending and tax revenue. Top healthcare priorities for 2025 also include increasing transparency, data-sharing, and PBM reforms. Today in Minneapolis, members of SIIA’s Cell & Gene Therapy Task Force gathered with representatives from leading CGT manufacturers to explore ways to enhance collaboration among self-insured payers, stop-loss carriers, and manufacturers. The Self-Insurer's November issue is NOW AVAILABLE! This month's issue focuses on SIIA's recent National Conference and the newly released results of the annual SIIA Captive Survey.
