The Emporia Workforce Center will be open for self - services today and tomorrow from 11:00am to 5:00pm as staff members support the Rapid Response meetings for local dislocated workers. Normal drop in appointment will resume on Friday, December 20th at 8am.

The Independence Workforce Center will be closed December 16th and 17th due to water main repairs. It is anticipated that repairs will be completed mid-week, please check back for updates on this page or by calling 620.779.1321. One week ago, Southeast KANSASWORKS Inc. celebrated the grand opening of the new Pittsburg Workforce Center. The celebration included hosting the Pittsburg Chamber coffee and a ribbon cutting ceremony. It was exciting to open the doors to the community, and showcase our services along with our co-located partners; the Kansas Department of Commerce, Catholic Charities, and Eastern Kansas Adult Education. The new location provides robust services to both employers and job seekers with a redesigned career center layout concept, that provides a professional office space verses the traditional workforce center lab. Thank you to the Pittsburg High School Culinary Dragons and Marrone Inc. for providing breakfast to our guests.
