S&P Celebrates Opening of Elgin ISD’s Multi-Purpose Facility Satterfield & Pontikes Construction (S&P) is proud to announce the successful completion of Elgin ISD’s Multi-Purpose Facility. Notable in attendance at the ribbon cutting ceremony were Elgin ISD Superintendent Dr. Jana Rueter and the district’s Board of Trustees. Located on the Elgin High School campus, the new 58,869 square-foot building houses a 60-yard synthetic turf field, a training room, weight room and support spaces. This climate-controlled, year-round facility provides the district and community with significant value and opportunity. “Being on the operations side, focusing on the building and its maintenance is what we do. But for all these kids behind me, these young adults, this is why we do it,” said Mike Brooks, Elgin ISD Executive Director of Operations. “It's a great opportunity for me and my staff to watch how programs grow.” Elgin High School serves a student population of more than 1,600 students. In 2021, voters approved the district’s $183 million bond program to accommodate growth. The approved Proposition C enabled the construction of this facility not only to serve the needs of the high school students, but also for community event use. S&P is honored to be a part of this transformative process for the Elgin community. Congrats Elgin ISD on the opening of your new building! #SatPon
