About us
The San Diego Paralegal Association (SDPA) is a non-profit organization established for the purpose of promoting the paralegal profession through awareness, education and public service. Most notably, SDPA achieves these goals by working with state and national affiliates to address the challenges facing the paralegal profession; offering Continuing Legal Education programs; and advocating involvement in pro bono clinics, community outreach programs, and local government. SDPA aims to inspire the best in individuals and create leadership opportunities for those willing to take their careers to the next level. SDPA encourages all paralegals to take an active role in their profession by committing to self-improvement and fostering collegiality among their peers.

Susan Estes exemplifies what it means to be an extraordinary SDPA supporter, and our admiration for her knows no bounds! As an outstanding eMentor, she’s the LinkedIn connection that effortlessly elevates your network. Hats off to her for this heartfelt call to action—celebrating your paralegals showcases the kind of impactful leadership that inspires us all. #ediscovery #kindness
Congratulations to Sheila Grela for taking the gold medal for 2023 predictions! Have you told your paralegal how awesome they are? Take a minute to recognize them and thank them for all that they do. #ediscovery #paralegals

The importance of leadership is emphasized by many organizations, but true leadership shines through action. Kristine Custodio Suero ⚖️ 📚 exemplifies this by leading through her involvement with the Foundation for Filipina Women's Network. We proudly support both her efforts and the organization’s mission.

Last week was absolutely wonderful! | Over one-third of the nominees for the prestigious Gayle O'Connor Spirit Award were supporters and/or guests of the Virtual Lunch with Leaders. This remarkable forum brings together innovators, collaborators, and leaders in the legal field to share ideas and inspire growth. We’re also thrilled to highlight one of our incredible supporters, Chere Estrin, who has penned a thoughtful and practical article on the art of "storytelling emails." Her insights demonstrate how weaving compelling narratives into your emails can create stronger connections and drive engagement. We’d love to hear from you! Share your thoughts, additional ideas, or just join us in cheering Chere on in the comments below. Let’s keep the conversation going!
