Each year, SAE sends one young aspiring engineer to attend our Applied Vehicle Dynamics course as part of the Tom McCready Memorial Annual Scholarship. Tom McCready was an important member of the SAE family and played a integral role in our Applied Vehicle Dynamics course. We have created this scholarship to honor his memory. This year, we were proud to award this scholarship to Emma-Lee Keeping of the University of Waterloo. Hear what Emma has to say about her experience in the course, and about the importance of equity and inclusion across the industry. https://sae.to/432CSGt

With the rise in consumer air travel and growing reliance on personal electronic devices, understanding the risks for carrying lithium-ion batteries on flights is essential for passengers. In 2015, SAE established the G27 Lithium Battery Packaging Performance Committee to develop a package performance standard for lithium cells and batteries. The result, two documents – SAE AS6413™ and SAEAIR6840™ – providing the “what to do” and “how to do it” for air travelers. https://sae.to/3BnUeUR
