Currently under construction, the Illinois 31 over US 20 project is making critical strides to enhance safety, mobility and connectivity for the Elgin Community. Once complete, this critical link will connect neighborhoods to the downtown business district while providing access along US 20. RS&H currently leads a consultant team providing ongoing construction and inspection services to the Illinois Department of Transportation District 1 for this project, which involves demolition of the existing steel-beam bridge built in 1959, replacing it with a new bridge and entrance and exit ramps to US 20. Our aerial drone footage captures progress, with this recent flight showcasing the traffic switch during Stage 1 to a temporary pattern along the new and improved IL 31 bridge over US 20. This critical milestone allows the contractor to demolish the remaining structure and begin the next phase of construction. The AdventHealth Apopka Infusion Center brings world class care close to home for Apopka residents and the surrounding communities. Our team, including AdventHealth staff, administrators, executives, and designers, leveraged insights from recent infusion center projects and evidence-based design to create a space that enhances patient experiences and recovery rates. The facility is designed to treat various conditions, including cancer, autoimmune disorders, and more. The center features a USP800-compliant compounding pharmacy, 18 semi-private bays, two private infusion rooms, and a clinical laboratory, all equipped with the latest technology to deliver patients the highest level of care. A special highlight is the bell wall, representing a significant moment in a patient’s journey through cancer treatment. It is a moment that is cherished by patients on their last day of treatment when they ring the bell three times.
