I CRIED like a bambino attending the Hispanic Heritage Foundation's 37th Annual Awards at the The John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts while one of my all-time favorite NBA All-Star players, Carmelo Anthony, gave his acceptance speech. Anthony got very emotional, reflecting on how his LATINIDAD was always something special to him, but became more important as he grew his family and connected his kids to their roots. Not a DRY EYE in the house! Honored to be a part of the Board at HHF and associated with all of those who put in the work this year to bring hope to our graduating high school seniors & esteemed honorees...and to have our fearless leader, Antonio Tijerino, be the SWOOSH behind all of our baskets. 💪 🏀 Please tune into the show THIS FRIDAY, September 27th 10/9c on PBS #HHA37 #HispanicHeritageMonth #CarmeloAnthony #PBS Gabriel Albornoz Jonathan M.
