CFO, Michael Rutigliano. 🏉 🏆 🥇 With an impressive season record of 9-5, both Michael Rutigliano and Daniel Kirshblum earned a bye during the first week of playoffs. After defeating their respective opponents, these two teams (arguably the best in the league) met in the championship match this past weekend for one final showdown. In this epic battle, it was winner-take-all and this time, it was Michael’s team that prevailed, with a final score of 179 to 140. Well done, Michael! Michael Lefkowitz is the Managing Member of Rosenberg & Estis, P.C. and one of the leaders of the firm’s Transactional Department. Michael reflects fondly on the impact the firm has had on New York City as well as the pride he feels as an attorney having personal involvement with deals and transactions that have helped shape the city where many of us live and work. Having joined R&E 35 years ago as a summer law clerk, it is with great honor that Michael remembers the past. On December 10, 2024, Rosenberg & Estis, P.C. Members Deborah Riegel, Adam R. Sanders and Cori Rosen attended the Atlantic Terminal Anniversary Gala Event hosted by Madison Capital. The event celebrated two decades of Atlantic Terminal, a cornerstone of the community and a vibrant hub in the heart of downtown Brooklyn. Atlantic Terminal 20th Anniversary Gala brought together key stakeholders, partners, and community members to honor the property’s rich history and explore its exciting path forward. This celebratory evening highlighted Atlantic Terminal’s legacy of innovation, accessibility, and community engagement, as well as its vital role in shaping the Brooklyn we know today.

Bergman, Esq., CRE, Vice President & Senior Underwriting Counsel at Benchmark Title Agency, LLC. The attorneys share valuable insights on Deed-in-Lieu and its pros and cons for borrowers as well as lenders. They also discuss the various risks and considerations associated with Deeds-in-Lieu. During the conversation, Richard and Jason talk to Dave about what a Deed in Lieu of Foreclosure is, how the process is initiated and elaborate on its benefits as well as drawbacks to both borrowers and lenders. Additionally, Richard and Jason also provide useful pointers on transfer taxes associated with a Deed in Lieu transaction, the risks associated with it for the title industry, and the resulting title requirements to guard against such risks.  On December 11, 2024- Rosenberg & Estis, P.C. hosted the December meeting of the New York City Bar Association Housing & Urban Development Committee, led by Co-Chairs Julia Solo and Farhana Hassan Choudhury, attended by Member Daniel M. Bernstein and Counsel David Rosenberg. David Rosenberg also gave a presentation on the recent City of Yes for Housing Opportunity, providing valuable insights on what its zoning amendments mean for NYC's affordable housing development.
