Here is your opportunity to start learning the fundamentals of animation with our 2d animation course taught by Stephen Steinbach. In this course, you will you will explore the basics of traditional 2D animation using fundamental animation principles. This course is designed for students with no prior knowledge of animation. Starting with the bouncing ball, you will learn how to properly time your animation using squash and stretch. Using these principles, you will create a simple character—a flour sack—to demonstrate a jump in perspective. Additionally, you will learn about the principles of drag and overlap, which are core elements of character animation. By the end of the course, you will use a generic character to create a simple head turn and walk cycle. Fabric is the basis for all apparel design. Before beginning to understand apparel design, one must understand the capabilities of fabric. The Certificate of Fabric Fundamentals is designed to equip students with a comprehensive understanding of basic fabrics. This six-week course covers essential topics such as fibers, fabrics, woven fabrics, nonwoven fabrics, cut & sew knits, and sweater knits. By the end of the course, students will have the ability to identify different fabric types and choose the correct fabric for various design aesthetics. This course is a requirement for both the Certificate of Apparel Design and the Certificate of Apparel Technical Design tracks. Learning Objectives: -Gain a general understanding of basic fabrics. -Develop the ability to identify different fabric types. -Understand how to choose the correct fabric for different design aesthetics. Course Requirements: -Internet access. -Ability to download and print course materials. -Access to an online or local fabric store. -Materials Cost: •The cost of creating the fabric workbook will vary between $12 and $48 USD, depending on the retail price of each store's swatches.
