A Remarkable Journey of Recovery: Celebrating Mrs. Grewe On October 16, 2024, Mrs. Grewe arrived at Reunion Jacksonville following a challenging 19-day hospitalization. Upon her arrival, she faced significant mobility limitations, requiring a mechanical lift for basic movements. Today, just 36 days later, Mrs. Grewe's progress is nothing short of extraordinary! Through the collaborative efforts of our dedicated team—comprised of medical doctors, physical therapists, occupational therapists, respiratory therapists, and nursing staff—she has regained her independence. Mrs. Grewe can now transfer on her own and walk up to 100 feet. Her journey is a powerful reminder of the impact of inpatient rehabilitation and the strength of human resilience. We are incredibly proud of Mrs. Grewe's achievements and are grateful to have her as part of the Reunion family. On November 4th, one of our patients expressed her desire to attempt to connect with her brother, who had been unresponsive to her calls. Concerned for his well-being, she reached out to her niece for help, only to discover that her brother was just next door in "rehab"! The joy of their reunion is a reminder of the significance of family connections and how the presence of loved ones can greatly enhance the healing process.
