  • Specific to Dallas / Ft. Worth professionals seeking new opportunities in Q1 2025: Did you know that there are 76 job requisitions for "Senior Recruiters" posted on LI. That does not include any other job boards, company websites, professional associations, social media platforms, industry platforms, etc. Well, what does that mean? In short, companies are ramping up for Q1 2025. Meta has already hired ~100 recruiters in the last few weeks. It is going to be a good season for job seekers, who need to make certain their resumes and cover letter are up to standard (ATS-compliant; no use of AI technologies when drafting resume content).  Please repost so friends and colleagues can view.

  • Woke up this morning - saw this post and it certainly resonated with me. Hope it does for all of you as well. Think broader, it just not pertain to job search. https://lnkd.in/gKgJgpnd

I have been rejected many times. But I will never forget those who gave me a chance. The hiring managers who saw potential in me and gave me a chance. They saw past my lack of experience and lack of skills. They have changed my life by allowing me to learn and grow. To build the skills I have today to help other job seekers. In hiring, we often forget that it's PEOPLE on the other side of the resume. People with dreams, goals, family, and financial obligations. It only takes one person to see your potential. Be that person who gives others a chance. Here are 5 things to look for: 1. Look beyond the resume.  Skills can be learned, but attitude, passion, and drive are invaluable. 2. Ask deeper questions.  Ask why they want the role, how they solve challenges, and what drives them. 3. Take a chance.  Someone with a unique background might be exactly what your team needs. 4. Offer mentorship.  If you see potential in someone, help them grow. It might change their life. 5. Recognize progress.  People rise to the level of trust you place in them. Recognize their progress. You’ll never forget the ones who took a chance on you when others said no. Be that person for someone else. What else would you add? Share below. PS: If you are a job seeker struggling to land a job in today's job market, I have something special coming this month that will help you. ♻️Repost if you found this insightful! • Hiring Season - I think it is safe to say that the employment purges from 2022-2024 in the tech sector is safely in the past. Why would I say that: 1. Salesforce announced that they are hiring 2K sales professionals to sell their AI product (Agentforce). 2. Meta recently hired 100+ inhouse recruiters with efforts to ramp up A/ ML related engineering 3. Microsoft has posted 110 roles in SF Bay Area offices (engineers, product managers, project/ program managers, business analysts, supply chain mgr), most geared towards AI/ ML. 4. Cisco has posted job requisitions for 100+ roles across the USA, all in highly technical roles. Hiring season 2025 is ramping up...are you ready for a change?

  •  Interview Tip - Of course you want to review the job description of the position you are applying for but you want to take it some step further. 1. Google: Key words for "name of position" 2. Writing those words on the description page and see if the words match or are closely defined to the words in the description. This will ensure thought consistency for you as well as word choice for the interview 3. Be prepared to discuss success stories as related to the words in the description / key words that you found for the role.

  • For those who are curious about indicators concerning where the job market is going in 2025, there are presently (Dec 29): 160+ requisitions for "technical recruiter" roles in the SF Bay Area as of this morning.  55 similar roles in Austin, TX 150+ in Greater NYC 25+ in Boise, ID, a much smaller market. This does not include the 60+ in Seattle. These are all on LinkedIn and does not include other sources. Earlier this week, I posted the META hired 100+ recruiting professionals in recent weeks. I think we all can safely say that Q1 2025 will be robust. Why?  1. Better economic atmosphere 2. Now that many companies have made returning to the office the policy as opposed to remote work, they must fill positions that they recently purged due to productivity issues.
