Kwanzaa, observed from December 26th to January 1st, is a time to reflect on seven guiding principles known as the Nguzo Saba, which inspire growth, unity, and purpose. Known as the Festival of Lights, Hanukkah is observed for eight nights, commemorating the rededication of the Second Temple in Jerusalem and the miracle of the oil that lasted far beyond its expected time. The Meaning of Hanukkah: Hanukkah reminds us of the triumph of hope over adversity and the power of light to dispel darkness. Each night, families gather to light the menorah, adding a candle for each night until all eight shine brightly. This symbolizes the miracle of the oil and serves as a beacon of resilience and unity.
