The new Woodman’s Food Market project at Regency Mall in Racine, WI, is a notable development in the mall's $110 million revitalization initiative. This impressive 243,500-square-foot market, spanning nearly 19 acres, will feature a grocery store, gas station with convenience store, quick lube center, and car wash. Numerous angle and rear-end crashes and operational issues were occurring along County OO between WIS 441 and French Road in Grand Chute, Wisconsin. Outagamie County selected raSmith to provide #TrafficEngineering and #TransportationEngineering services to evaluate, recommend, and design improvements. A corridor study analyzed various geometric modifications and traffic control alternatives to determine the most effective solution. The final design recommendations included left-turn lane realignments, new turn lanes, median modifications, and a new traffic signal to improve safety and operations.
