Rales JFS hosted 175 Holocaust Survivors for a joyous Hanukkah celebration on December 17, 2024, at B’nai Torah Congregation. Sponsored by Jill Viner, the event featured traditional treats, live music by The Holocaust Survivor Band, and heartwarming connections—including two attendees discovering they lived in the same orphanage during the war. An Evening of Enchantment: A Night at the Bridgerton Ball was a magical success. Over 400 guests joined us at Boca West Country Club, raising $1 million to support Rales JFS programs. At Rales JFS, we are beyond grateful to The Boca Raton Bicycle Club for their generous donation of a bicycle to one of our amazing mentees in the Community Mentoring Program! After learning from one of our dedicated mentor’s, Michelle, that her 16 year old mentee, Alicia, had been walking 40 minutes each way to her very first job, the club stepped in to give her a helping hand by donating a bicycle. This new bike will make her daily commute much easier and open up new opportunities as she continues to build her bright future. Thank you to Mike Simon, President of the Boca Raton Bicycle Club, who presented the bike to Alicia at the Community Mentoring Program holiday party and ensured she had a properly fitting helmet and bike lock, as well. Furthermore, after hearing about another mentee’s need for a bicycle, the club will be donating another bike soon! We are truly inspired by the power of community and how small acts of kindness can make such a big impact.
