  • Canada’s Call to Action: Strengthening Import Bans Against Forced Labour Forced labour continues to infiltrate global supply chains, exploiting millions of lives. Despite Canada’s efforts, the current measures lack the enforcement needed to create a real impact. Strengthening import bans isn’t just a policy issue—it’s a moral imperative. To truly lead the fight against forced labour, Canada must: 🔸 Expand its legislation to cover all goods tainted by exploitation. 🔸 Empower enforcement agencies with resources and authority. 🔸 Mandate corporate transparency and accountability. Countries like the U.S. and Australia have shown us the way with robust systems and proactive measures. It's time for Canada to step up and adopt global best practices to ensure that no product we consume is tied to human suffering. The fight against forced labour is a collective responsibility. Let’s work together to uphold the values of fairness, justice, and human dignity. 👉 Read our blog to learn more about how Canada can strengthen its import bans: https://lnkd.in/gZCwNfMW #HumanRights #ForcedLabour #GlobalSupplyChains #CanadaLeadership
