Our NICU transformed into a magical winter wonderland this week, spreading holiday cheer to our tiniest patients! Parents & caregivers exercised their creative skills, making the most adorable, festive onesies for their little bundles of joy. ❤️🎄

When Jack's fevers wouldn't subside, his parents took him to the Emergency Department at #RadyChildrens, suspecting an ear infection. The unusual pink tint in his eyes led to a diagnosis of Kawasaki Disease (KD). He received an IVIG infusion to reduce inflammation & baby aspirin to protect his arteries. Complications arose when a CT scan revealed a rare form of bronchiolitis, raising concerns about an ICU stay & intubation. Fortunately, after several days, Jack's symptoms & respiratory issues improved, his eyes returned to normal, & his fever finally broke. Today, Jack is a healthy, thriving little boy. He loves garbage trucks, preschool crafts & his big sister, Grace. Thanks to the quick action & expert care of the team at Rady Children's, Jack has no lasting damage to his heart.
