Tis the season for gift giving! Queens Community House was happy to be a part of the holiday celebration at the Forest Hills Stadium! Families and neighbors enjoyed the festivities, including live performances, dancing, hot cocoa, and a chance to connect with the community! Many people dropped off toys for our second annual Forest Hills Stadium Holiday Toy Drive, and toys will be donated to our programs for children in need ages 0 to 13. 🧸🚂🪀   Thank you to Jason Brandt and his team from Forest Hills Stadium whom we partnered with for this event and who were a driving force for the event's success.   Thank you to the Southwest Airlines LaGuardia team for collecting toys and tabling, Charles Lin for coordinating two JPMorganChase branches to act as toy drop-off sites, New York Life Insurance Company for acting as a drop-off site, and Adobe for having a staff-wide toys collection at their NYC office. Queens Community House (QCH) is honored to have been chosen as a 2024 Goldman Sachs Community Development Champion! We’re looking forward to being a part of the #GSEquityBuildersInitiative. This grant will help us strengthen our Integrated Service Model, allowing us to provide comprehensive support to 8,250 Queens residents over three years through connected services like housing assistance, education, and immigration support. Twenty years ago, Daniel's parents left Colombia dreaming of a better future in America. They built a warm, loving home in Queens where Daniel thrived—until his father's devastating heart attack during Daniel's freshman year of high school. Watching his father's health deteriorate, Daniel's own world began to unravel.
