Manufacturing companies are using PTC software to identify and improve their products’ environmental footprints. #CAD enables designers to select more sustainable materials, use less of those materials (within performance constraints), and optimize for lower-footprint manufacturing processes. #PLM enables product developers to create a modular bill of materials that they can feed to lifecycle analysis tools to help assess their product footprint early in the design process, where changes and tradeoffs are the least expensive. #ALM enables companies to trace sustainability requirements across full product designs and develop embedded software that supports remote triage and service. #SLM enables companies to extend the lifespan of their products while optimizing their products’ end-of-life outcomes for circularity.
