The Seattle Propeller Club is a driving force in promoting the maritime industry to the public.
About us
The Seattle Propeller Club is one of the largest and oldest propeller clubs in the country. Think of us as a Maritime Chamber of Commerce who puts on social and networking events to encourage collaboration and the economic development of the maritime industry. We are also a driving force for educating and promoting the industry to the public. We sponsor events like the Seattle Spring Maritime Festival to help the public understand what the maritime industry is, what we do, what we bring economically and socially to the region, and how connected everyone is to the industry. If you want to make business deals, make connections to further your organization, have a passion for educating people about the maritime industry, or are looking to find a connection to a new job while having fun and promoting the maritime industry, the Seattle Propeller Club is for you. Propeller Club - Port of Seattle reposted this
I excited to hear more on this from Selena Elmer from CoZEV/ZEMBA next week at the Propeller Club - Port of Seattle Annual Maritime Economic Forecast Breakfast. Join us at PME and at our State of the Blue Annual Gathering. https://lnkd.in/g2VhiwFF
TODAY: ZEMBA announced it will focus exclusively on catalyzing the first commercial deployment of e-fuels in the maritime sector through its next tender, set to launch in January 2025. It’s a historic moment for the global energy transition, as the maritime sector prepares to deploy what were until recently described by many as “future fuels.” ZEMBA member companies are demonstrating that the future has arrived. And just in time, as the need for private sector leadership and collaboration to solve problems comes into sharp relief, particularly in hard-to-abate sectors. Through this tender, ZEMBA will seek to help its members, which currently number 40 multinational companies, abate 470,000 metric tonnes of greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions. This would equate to 1.4 million twenty-foot containers transported across the Pacific Ocean by e-fuels, assuming a benchmark distance of Shanghai to Los Angeles. To learn more about ZEMBA’s e-fuel focused next tender, check out our press release - https://ow.ly/TwTK50U5Jyo. More information can be found on our newly re-launched website - https://ow.ly/hc4g50U5Jxv. #Efuels #shipZEMBA #Release #MaritimeShipping New members include: AIT Worldwide Logistics, dsm-firmenich, Frog Bikes, GEPA - The Fair Trade Company, Olyra, Pernod Ricard, Poly Medicure Ltd, Sanofi, SEKO Logistics, VAUDE
