Congratulations to #ProPath #Histotechnologist, Sharon Dailey, for being named the December 2024 Team Member of the Month. "Sharon responded to a call to action one week after going live with a new client. When specimens are collected and submitted for bone marrow comprehensive evaluation, it requires a dedicated member at the time of collection to prepare slides. Slide preparation is time-sensitive and can be done by the practioners performing the procedure or by laboratory staff. When it was discovered that this was not being done at the site, Sharon volunteered immediately to fulfill this responsibility by responding to the call to action. 'I have made bone marrow smears and touch preps before and feel confident that I can do it. I am good with any decision that is made.' Since then, Sharon has been receptive to continous feedback to submit quality specimens for better patient care. She demonstrates all Sonic Core Values by recognizing the problem and providing a solution immediately. I wanted to take a moment to share some feedback I've received over the past week. Several patients have reached out to me, specifically to talk about the experiences with Lisa. Many of them mentioned that their past experiences with blood draws in other offices were either subpar or even unpleasant. However, after visiting out office, they've shared how comfortable and pain free their blood draws have been. In fact, some patients have even inquired above having all their blood done here. While we, unfortunately, can't accommodate that request, it's incredibly gratifying to know that we have the best Phlebotomist in the area. He is highly committed to service. When we are short staffed, he is willing to work single-handedly in the core lab at night and still be able to finish all the work. His work ethics are par excellence, and he demonstrates it in his everyday work. Recently, on his day off, when we requested him to work due to another team member's sick call, he immedicately agreed to come in knowing that we were short staffed at night. Congratulations to #ProPath Immunohistochemistry Lead, Dustin Kuczaj, for being named the September 2024 Team Member of the Month. "Dustin is an invaluable member of the IHC team. He is the main technical trainer for our new employees. He is very detailed and patient. Dustin is also the overseer of our huge inventory or antibodies - keeps us supplied, while still trying to keep costs down. He handles all client inquiries quickly and responds to emails. Congratulations to #ProPath Clinical Laboratory Technologist, Becky Ngum, for being named the July 2024 Team Member of the Month. "Although Becky has been with ProPath for just under a year, her contributions to the Molecular Oncology and especially, Flow Cytometry, have been huge. Becky splits her time bewteen two departments daily. However, when Flow became shorthanded back in March, Becky changed her workload to spend full time in Flow, in order to keep their turnaround time low. Becky is willing to do what is needed for the team and for patient care. She is always up to learning new tasks and developing her technical skills. She's a joy to work with."
