Fetal alcohol spectrum disorders (FASD) are a group of conditions caused by prenatal alcohol exposure. Though there are often no physical features of FASD, the effects of this disability can profoundly impact multiple aspects of an individual’s life, highlighting the importance of awareness and early intervention. Led by Proof Alliance and Boston Medical Center, this innovative program offers virtual ECHO education to help prenatal and pediatric care teams better address FASD. Participants will build expertise in screening for prenatal alcohol exposure, counseling patients and families, and managing care for individuals with FASD—all while earning free continuing education credits. We're excited to share that three abstracts from Proof Alliance have been accepted for The International Research Conference in Seattle in March of 2025. Presentations by Proof Alliance will cover Electronic Health Record (EHR) data quality in pregnancy alcohol use screening, findings from The SAFEST Choice National Learning Collaborative's pediatric cohort and support for FASD in Indigenous communities.
