Responsible for managing the purchase of print space in newspapers and magazines, and broadcast time on radio and television, or the outdoor space for billboard advertising for the clients. Oversee the media department and responsible for managing the client's media buying and planning needs. Meet with media sales people and attend strategy meetings for obtaining new business for the agency, pitch to potential clients in order to obtain their business, contact clients to discuss their advertising campaigns. Manage the media department, keep an eye on the status of client accounts and plan for future media buys. Study and keep informed of media developments, media trends and media opportunities. Posses strategic leadership abilities, experience with client contact, and a background in advertising and understand the media industry, strong organizational skills and unprecedented communication skills.
