Want to help transport animals in need? Our Community Transport Board is the place to connect our volunteer database with animals at risk of euthanasia. We love when our amazing community steps in to help make these lifesaving journeys happen! ❤️🐾 💡Here’s what you need to know: • Post only for at-risk animals: Only post animals in danger or facing euthanasia. No personal pet transport requests. • Recipient shelter required: Ensure you have a shelter or rescue ready to receive the animal. • Ideal distance: Transports under 500 miles have the best chance of success. 🎉 As 2024 comes to a close, we couldn’t think of a better way to celebrate than being in the air right now, rescuing animals in need. This has been a year to remember, and it’s all thanks to YOU—our amazing community of supporters, donors, and volunteers. Together, we’ve made a real difference. 🐾✈ Here are some incredible milestones we’re celebrating: 💚 In December alone, we rescued almost 200 animals, many of whom are now in loving homes, just in time for the holidays! 💚 Thanks to our new plane, Big Paw, we’ve been able to fit up to 50 animals on a single mission, allowing us to save more lives than ever before. 💚 With partnerships like BISSELL Pet Foundation, CUDDLY, Swilled Dog, Modern Aviation, and so many dedicated shelter partners, we’ve set the stage for 2025 to be our highest-performing year yet! We are so thrilled to share another success story from our self-service transport board! Thanks to this amazing resource, and the efforts of volunteer pilot David Shapiro, 10-year-old Dixie is finally home for the holidays where she belongs. ✨ Dixie’s story is one of resilience—this blind senior had been declining in a shelter environment after being overlooked time and time again. Thankfully, Jen Merbs in Ohio stepped in to give Dixie a forever home on their beautiful 3-acre farm, where she’ll be surrounded by love and other senior dogs. ❤️ Merbs Old Fat Farm is a retirement home for unwanted and homeless senior animals. On 12/26, David flew Dixie to Ohio, giving her the freedom flight of her life and ensuring her next chapter is filled with peace and joy. Huge thanks to David for being the wind beneath her wings and to Jen for providing Dixie with the loving home she so deserves.
