Beige seems like a neutral color, but it’s been causing lots of controversy in the design world. A new study links using products like lotions and hair conditioner to higher levels of endocrine-disrupting chemicals called phthalates in young children. Phthalates are a group of chemicals often added to plastics to make them stronger. They are also used as ingredients in some products children use every day such as personal care products, textiles, clothing, hard-goods, and more. When Do Babies Start to Sit Up? Babies usually achieve the skill of sitting up independently between 4 and 8 months, Dr. Amie Dougherty says.
