On December 13th, my Friday Project team which include Cody Legge, Mina Qassim, Levi Bonney, Aariz Syed, Nathan Hinz, and Jaxon Davis. We had the chance this semester, to collaborate with engineers from WILSON ENGINEERS, LLC, who have generously shared their time and expertise with us. During our showcase, we presented the work we’ve done so far, and the presentation video highlights our team’s progress. You can watch it here. This week, I had the pleasure of leading a session on the AZ EdTech (ISTE) Standards for our coaching team. Our coaches engaged in several activities to deepen their understanding and application of these standards. We brainstormed examples of effective technology integration, explored the ISTE Standards for Students, and analyzed the grade band progressions in the AZ EdTech Standards. We also examined examples of the Empowered Learner standard and designed activities for upcoming PD sessions or classroom lessons that integrate this standard. I appreciate our coaches taking the time to create and share these activities. I'm excited to see how these ideas will enhance teaching and learning in our schools! #AZEdTechCoach #AzTEA

Last week me and three other medical students in Kathy Kasneys class did a presentation on Oncology. We went over all aspects of the career as well as patient experience. We also had thorough explanations for the models on the table. Overall it was a great teamwork building experience.

👮♂️ Cole at Sahuaro Ranch Elementary School wants to be a police officer. He waited patiently for two months to wear his costume to school. Glendale Police Department decided to stop by the school and help make Cole’s day. We are A-rated! Peoria Unified celebrates the release of school letter grades for its 42 graded schools, with 95 percent (40 schools) receiving an A or B label. This means that Peoria Unified is once again an A-rated school district! 13 Peoria Unified schools increased their grade by one letter and 28 increased their earned percentage points. All eight of Peoria Unified’s high schools are A-rated, and these academic accolades are supported by championship athletics, award-winning arts education and nationally recognized career and technical education programs.
