We invite you to read our latest press release regarding the "Keep the Promise Rally" occurring this Friday! Stakeholders are calling for a community rally on Friday, May 31, 2024, to raise awareness about a current proposal in the Governor’s budget. This proposal would delay the final stage of service provider rate reform implementation by one year to 2025-26. With an ever-increasing shortage of direct care staff, this delay threatens to destabilize the support system that people with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities rely on to live safely and successfully in our community. Recently, several regulatory changes have been introduced that, without commensurate funding, would threaten the supports and services that community providers offer for people with disabilities. The #DisabilityCommunityAct is a vital piece of legislation that would invest in Medicaid I/DD services and help community providers avoid disruption of services that would be devastating to millions of people with disabilities in the US. #PathPointCA
