  • Thinking about expanding your manufacturing business? Make Gwinnett County your top choice! One big reason? Georgia Quick Start – a free, customized workforce training program that’s been powering businesses for over 50 years! Georgia Quick Start is a workforce development program that provides customized training, to qualified businesses that are either relocating to or expanding within Georgia. Quick Start tailors its training to the specific needs of a company. This is particularly useful for manufacturing businesses that require workers to have specialized skills for operating advanced machinery, following safety protocols, or maintaining high standards of production. Training is flexible too – on-site, at a Quick Start center, or a local technical college. Just ask companies like Kia Georgia or Hyundai – they’re already reaping the benefits! • For Evermore Community Improvement District, following the road less traveled was never an option. In fact, Evermore’s goal was to turn the almost forgotten Highway 78 into an upscale destination rather than a road to somewhere else. Highway 78 has been through tremendous changes over the past 30 years. From having a “temporary” reversible lane to the beginning of medians being installed, improvement projects have been continuous. In 2002, a group of landowners in the area formed the Highway 78 Corridor Improvement Association to have strong community voices leading improvement projects on Highway 78. The Association, now Evermore CID, was a success! Over the past 20 years, Evermore CID has conducted comprehensive transportation plans, median implementation, pedestrian bridges, additional sidewalks, driveway and parking access for businesses, expansion studies, and a multi-use trail park on Stone Mountain, among so many other projects. Evermore CID’s dedication shines through for its community, and the efforts of its work are readily visible when driving on Highway 78.
