Let's fight back against cavities!

This is the story we all know. MAN vs MACHINE. The battle happens every day. We see it in movies, when the robots start a revolution. We hear it in the media, when a machine learning model “exceeds human performance.” And we feel it in our minds, when we can’t tell if a beautiful work of art was made by AI. But this story is wrong. WE are the ones who imagine, build, train, test, and apply AI to achieve our goals. Ultimately, we are watching our species evolve. Machine learning IS human learning. At Overjet, we don't evaluate how our AI compares to human performance. Instead, we evaluate how much people improve their performance, when working together with AI. For example, in our clinical study for the FDA, every dentist in the study was able to detect cavities more accurately, when using Overjet. It's not a competition between dentists and AI. It's a collaboration between experts that have unique strengths. The real story is ours to write. It will be about people who do incredible things — with increasingly powerful tools.

Overjet has won the Fierce Innovation Award for best Data Analytics in healthcare! 🏆 In August, we launched DSO Analytics, the first AI-powered analytics suite built for dental groups. And today, Fierce Healthcare selected it among hundreds of submissions — across not only dentistry but all of healthcare. DSO Analytics is unique in that it directly improves care for patients. It works by synthesizing AI findings from every single patient and X-ray, so that DSO leaders can find the biggest opportunities to treat and prevent oral disease.
