Another successful Greystar Holiday Wheelchair Ramp Blitz in the books! Over the last two days 160 Greystar team members traveled throughout the Tricounty to build 15 wheelchair ramps for families that could not safely get in and out of their homes. Greystar’s partnership over the last 14 years through the annual Blitz has impacted over 100 families with over 1,000 Greystar team members. We look forward to this event every year and are incredibly lucky to have a partner who is so eager to give back to the community. Building 14 ramps in two days and managing close to 200 volunteers is no easy task. Greystar continues to go above and beyond for our families, and we could not be more grateful. Thank you, Greystar, for keeping local families safe in their homes and communities!

Thank you, Charleston County Bar Association, for building a ramp for one of our families in Dorchester. . Ms. Simmons is 84 and lives with her daughter and granddaughter. She has lived in her mobile home for 60 years and has no plans of leaving. Ms. Simmons uses a walker and the only way out of the home was down a set of steep steps. Due to the unsafe conditions, she could only leave the home with help from her daughter or granddaughter. Thanks to these volunteers from CCBA, Ms. Simmons can now safely and independently leave her home!
Had such a fantastic morning yesterday working alongside fellow CCBA lawyers to build a ramp with Operation Home for Ms Simmons.

Thank you Ryan Homes for building a ramp for one of our seniors in McClellanville! . Ms. Smalls is a senior and lives alone. She has some health concerns and has to make regular visits to the doctor. She had no safe way out of the home and needed a ramp to get to her appointments safely. Thanks to this volunteer group, Ms. Smalls can get the help she needs and remain in her home!

Operation Home is incredibly grateful for Coastal Community Foundation of SC and their partnership in providing critical home repairs to low-income families throughout the Tricounty. The Economic Mobility Fund has given our mission a larger voice and provided us with greater resources in order to keep even more families safe in their beloved homes and communities.
The cost of repairing a roof can feel impossible for homeowners living on a fixed income. We recognize the importance of ensuring people can stay in their homes, in their communities, and have a safe place to live. Plus, these homes can build generational wealth when they are inherited by children and grandchildren. Our Economic Mobility Fund is supported by several community partners like Boeing, Truist, The 1772 Foundation, and private donors. We are proud to provide impactful grants to organizations like Operation Home to complete these vital home repairs for our community.

Thank you Harbour Club at WestEdge for taking your Saturday to build a ramp for one of our seniors. Your hard work has made an enormous impact on this woman's life!
Harbour Club at WestEdge's Young Executive committee spent Saturday morning volunteering with Operation Home, building a brand new ramp! Operation Home's mission is to help people remain in their homes by increasing safety and accessibility. This morning's ramp build was all about making sure an amazing senior citizen was able to comfortably stay in her home. It was a long and sweaty morning, but when she came out to see the finished product and told us through tear that we "gave her a new lease on life", that made all the work worth it!
