  • After some much needed rest, we are thrilled to share the family who welcomed the first OGHS baby of 2025! 👶 Meet Harmony, Treivon, and baby Zara! Born on Wednesday, January 1st at 5:39pm, baby Zara was welcomed into the world by obstetrician Dr. Thomas Jarnagin and passed her health check by Pediatrician, Dr. Carmen Johnson. Zara weighed 6lbs 1.9oz and measured at 18in. Zara shares her aunt's birthday, making it the most special New Year's Day. The family also received a gift basket full of necessities to care for baby Zara. Congratulations to Harmony, Treivon, and Zara! 🎉

  • New Year's resolutions begin soon, but it's never too late to change your dieting and eating habits! Here are a few simple, sustainable tips from our nutritionists' Kelly, Lauren, and Paula. 🌟 🥘 - Cook at home instead of eating out: preparing food at home gives you more control over food quality, portion sizes and can help ensure you reach your goals for a healthy diet. 🥜 - Trade in croutons for nuts: replacing refined carbohydrate foods like croutons, chips and refined grain crackers with nutrient-rich nuts or seeds is a great way to get a boost of healthy fats, fiber, vitamins and minerals. 🚶 - Try a walk instead of a snack: we eat for many reasons besides hunger including being bored, tired or stressed. Activity can boost energy, alleviate boredom and reduce stress (it's also good for mental and physical health).

  • 2025 will be a year of progress and improvements for OGHS! 👷 Our new Cysto room is officially under construction. The new equipment will increase operational safety for our surgical staff, which in turn will result in safer surgeries for our patients. Our patient safety is always in mind, and we can't wait to show off the finished product. 🌟
