Chef Kim joined Omni Tucson in November 2018 as Executive Sous Chef. Over the years, she has proven herself through her many strong attributes -- leadership, creativity, and dedication to name a few. As a result, this well-deserved promotion is the recognition of her hard work and talent. With a culinary background that includes roles at the Ritz-Carlton Dove Mountain, Westlake Inn, and Nic's Beverly Hills, Chef Kim brings a wealth of experience and a passion for culinary excellence to her new role! CONGRATULATIONS to Daynen Diaz Pirela on his recent promotion to Housekeeping Manager at Omni Tucson National Resort & Spa! Daynen started with Omni Tucson about six years ago and has worked his way up throughout the operation to include previous positions as F&B server, Bell person, and Housekeeping Supervisor. Daynen has proven to be a great asset to the housekeeping team over the past three years. He was instrumental in the success of the renovation and was a leader that the team could always count on while reopening the remaining guest rooms and outlets. Daynen was a graduate of the first-ever ASCEND Program with Omni Hotels and Resorts. When he joined this mentorship program, we quickly knew that growth and further development were inevitable for Daynen. We have had the privilege to watch Daynen flourish into the leader he is today. His team truly respects him, and we are all very excited to be a part of his continued success! Congratulations, Daynen!

Our Golf Course Maintenance Team is the absolute BEST! We hosted a BBQ appreciation event yesterday to honor our GCM associates and thank them for all they do (mostly in the early hours of the morning) to keep our two championship golf courses looking pristine all year around. Also, thank you to our Director of Agronomy, Mike Petty, who has been leading this team for over 37 years!!!

Omni Tucson National Resort loves partnering with our local non-profit organizations. Since 2002, Ben's Bells and the Be Kind Campaign, has done so much to promote "paying it forward" through their kindness education programs in Tucson and our surrounding communities. Our associates were "ALL IN" to paint the coins used to spread the Be Kind message. Fun day of collaboration and fellowship!
