  • 𝐈𝐧 𝐅𝐨𝐜𝐮𝐬: 𝐌𝐢𝐝𝐝𝐥𝐞 𝐄𝐚𝐬𝐭 We’ve got a great interview here with Frazer Young who was interviewed at ADIPEC2024 by Oil Review on Oil States’s connector solutions and prospects for business development in the Middle East. #Oilstates #MiddleEastFocus #ADIPEC2024 https://hubs.la/Q030jf0X0

  • At Oil States, we are proud of our 40-year history in Scotland. As we look to the next 40 years, we are looking to the future and inspiring the next generation to enter the energy industry. We regularly visit local schools and colleges and we recently attended an event at the Forth Valley College Campus as part of our Future Recruitment program. Jamie Allan, Forth Valley College’s Global Partnership Manager said, “We invest in equipment, design curriculum, and provide bespoke commercial courses all from what industry tells us are the skills and training requirements they need for their business to succeed. It’s clear that Oil States is visionary in how they want to enable traditional and new energy skills across their workforce for their existing and new employees, and I’m hopeful we can work closely on some exciting initiatives going forward.” There’s a bright future in offshore wind with our recent DNV approval for our FTLP™, floating wind market foundation, and continued development of our WindLok™ tower connector, currently working through DNV approval. Applications opening for multi-disciplined, mechanical fitters, test technicians, welding, and fabrication apprenticeships in March 2025, with start dates at the college in August 2025. #FutureEnergyLeaders #OffshoreWind #STEMCareers #Apprenticeships2025 #EnergyExpansion

𝐃𝐞𝐩𝐥𝐨𝐲𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐨𝐟 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐆𝐚𝐬 𝐄𝐱𝐩𝐨𝐫𝐭 𝐌𝐚𝐧𝐢𝐟𝐨𝐥𝐝 (𝐆𝐄𝐌) 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐒𝐚𝐥𝐚𝐦𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐚 𝐅𝐏𝐒 We're proud to announce the successful deployment of the Gas Export Manifold (GEM) for the Salamanca Floating Production System (FPS) in the Gulf of Mexico. This vital piece of infrastructure will support LLOG Exploration's ongoing development efforts in the region. Designed in collaboration with Pinnacle Engineering and executed with precision, the GEM is an impressive feat of engineering. Key specs include: 🔹 3-hub style manifold with wye configuration and 16-inch Class 1500 Vertical Non-Integral Collet Connectors 🔹 Structure dimensions: 50 ft. long x 45 ft. wide 🔹 Weight: over 178,000 lbs 🔹 Water depth: operating at 7,050 ft. below the surface To ensure efficient transport and reduce costs, the wing assemblies were removed prior to shipment, and then reinstalled quayside before deployment, allowing the manifold to achieve full stability on the seabed once in place. This accomplishment is the result of outstanding teamwork between LLOG Exploration, Pinnacle Engineering, and Oil States, demonstrating the power of strong partnerships and technical excellence. • 𝐈𝐧 𝐅𝐨𝐜𝐮𝐬: 𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐌𝐢𝐝𝐝𝐥𝐞 𝐄𝐚𝐬𝐭 The award-winning Swift DW2 ratchet anti-rotation (RAR) offers oil and gas operators a unique integrally machined anti-rotation mechanism that prevents connector breakout in extreme and fatigue-sensitive ultra-deepwater conditions often found in the Middle East and key global regions. Listen as Oil Review Middle East interviews our Global Sales Manager, Frazer Young about the two important trends the Swift DW2 RAR addresses - optimizing efficiency and cost-efficiency: https://hubs.la/Q02-Hkxl0 #ADIPEC #oilandgas #oilandgasdrilling #drillingoperations

  • 𝐂𝐚𝐛𝐢𝐧𝐞𝐭 𝐒𝐞𝐜𝐫𝐞𝐭𝐚𝐫𝐲 - 𝐍𝐞𝐭 𝐙𝐞𝐫𝐨 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐄𝐧𝐞𝐫𝐠𝐲 - 𝐀𝐛𝐞𝐫𝐝𝐞𝐞𝐧 𝐆𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐰𝐚𝐲 𝐕𝐢𝐬𝐢𝐭 𝐌𝐨𝐧𝐝𝐚𝐲, 𝐃𝐞𝐜𝐞𝐦𝐛𝐞𝐫 𝟐 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟒 We were pleased to welcome Gillian Martin MSP, Acting Cabinet Secretary for Net Zero and Energy, to Oil States Aberdeen this month, as we look to accelerate the net zero transition. In attendance were also Audrey Nicoll MSP for Aberdeen South and North Kincardine and Kevin Stewart MSP for Aberdeen Central. We discussed several strategic subjects of importance to the future of the Scottish energy expansion and wider issues of relevance to the industry including raising our belief that the FTLP ™ is Scotland’s only opportunity to anchor floating wind foundation market technology here in the UK, with the associated manufacturing jobs and extended supply chain benefits, which runs into £Bns. Though not a devolved matter, we also raised the importance of accessing the floating tariff for AR8 (Allocation Round 8) to allow the locally manufactured FTLP ™ to compete on an equal playing field with floating structures manufactured overseas. The MSPs were hosted by Garry Stephen Group VP, with Kirsten McNeill, Projects Manager; George Adams, International Business Development Manager; Tom Dixon Managing Director EFC; and Zander McDougall Renewables Business Manager, providing context and technical detail on the Oil States energy expansion offering. Additional support was provided by Colin Turnbull at Scottish Enterprise who helped align the vision. We would like to thank the Acting Cabinet Secretary for NetZero and Energy, Gillian Martin MSP, for taking time from her hectic schedule to hear our plans, her passion and knowledge for decarbonization is inspiring, and special thanks to our local MSPs, Audrey Nicoll MSP and Kevin Stewart MSP, for their ongoing enthusiasm and commitment to helping us deliver a just energy expansion for Aberdeenshire, and Scotland. Your voices and support are deeply appreciated. #NetZero #EnergyExpansion #FloatingWind #RenewableEnergy #SustainableScotland
