Late yesterday, the federal government announced it was extending the initial phase of the 2025 Open Enrollment Period by three days. This means that any OSAP member who still needs to get health coverage starting on 1/1/2025 can do that if they enroll by 12/18/2024. Contact someone at LIG Solutions and let them now about your membership in OSAP today to get help!

Thank you, Evan Newman, for your ongoing engagement, role as vice chair this year and the work you'll do helping lead the organization next year. OSAP would be remiss if we didn't thank Jon Melchi, too, for all the great work he's done this year. Together, we're doing our best to defend Ohio's nonprofit industry and build its association management profession.
Helping snow professionals build influence by enhancing the public image, cultivating safety, and igniting passion for professional snow removal in their communities and across our industry.
Last week I had the opportunity to spend a few hours on Friday afternoon at the Ohio Society of Association Professionals (OSAP) holiday luncheon. As the incoming Chair of the Board of Directors, I was able to recognize outgoing chair, association peer, and mentor Jon Melchi. Jon probably did not realize that he has been a mentor to me in the ways that he has been. Jon has been honest, thoughtful, and efficient in the way he facilitates board meetings and he has been intentional about engaging members. All of which are important, but often overlooked, parts of the role. Furthermore, he and Jarrod Clabaugh, CAE have kept their finger on the pulse of possible threats to the association and nonprofit communities. There is a real possibility of a number of legislative changes that will impact nonprofits and associations. If you’re not involved with an association like OSAP, advocating and educating on a local front, I encourage you to get involved in the new year. P.S. Ignore the elf sweater and the 15 lbs I have packed on to the dad bod. Christmas cookies came early this year and fatherhood is fun.
