Did you know that your email frequency can significantly impact your deliverability? Recent research from the NGP VAN Deliverability Team uncovered some important findings: 1. Keep your lists warm: After a gap of 30 days or more, bounce rates tend to be 83% worse on average. Long gaps between emails also have a negative impact on open and unsubscribe rates. Some open rates dropped by as much as 40% after a long gap — this can impact your domain reputation and make it harder for emails to reach inboxes in the short and long term. 2. Send emails consistently: We recommend aiming for gaps no longer than two weeks between emails. This helps maintain subscriber interest and prevents emails from getting lost in inboxes (or spam folders). 3. Prioritize quality over quantity: Sending relevant and valuable content that resonates with your audience is crucial. Focus on prioritizing quality over quantity to keep your subscribers engaged and coming back for more. It's normal to slow down your frequency after a busy election cycle, but sending emails consistently to your most-engaged contacts is crucial for long-term success.
